This year’s NHRI Academy focuses on framing migration from a human rights perspective.
On 7 October, as part of the virtual event, FRA will host a webinar on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. It will look into the added value of the Charter nationally and the important role of NHRIs play.
It will also explore the protection of migrants’ rights under the Charter and in particular those of children.
FRA will encourage NHRI participants to exchange promising practices on the use of the Charter in their work on migration.
FRA experts will use and explain the agency’s capacity-building material and tools made available through Charterpedia, FRA’s online one-stop-shop on the Charter. These tools include the FRA Charter Handbook and Charter country factsheets in national languages.
