High-level conference explores EU victims’ rights strategy

The European Commission alongside the German Presidency of the Council of the EU will host a conference to promote the recently adopted EU Strategy on victims’ rights (2020 – 2025).
The conference takes place on 22 September. It will look at empowering victims of crime and working together for victims’ rights.
 
Participants will discuss key aspects of the strategy such as support and protection for the most vulnerable victims, including victims of terrorism and victims of hate crime, and lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The Commission will also present and explain the role of the Victims’ Rights Platform that will regroup the main stakeholders in the area of victims’ rights. In this discussion, FRA will present the role of EU agencies in the Victim’s Rights Platform.
