On 14 May, FRA was the keynote speaker at an event in Vienna on the challenges and chances in the European Asylum System.
It was organised by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Human Rights.
FRA presented the findings of its beyond the Peak: Migration numbers drop, but challenges remain paper, as well as preliminary findings from its responding to the 2015 asylum emergency – assessing the long-term impact on fundamental rights project. It also spoke about possible future scenarios of the Common European Asylum System.
FRA was also a panellist together with the UNHCR, Diakonie, Asylkoordination and Amnesty International during discussions on the future of the European asylum system.
