Ethical Journalism Network and FRA provide media training

The Ethical Journalism Network and FRA provided face-to-face media training at the Thomson Foundation in London on 21 October.

The training course was attended by 20 journalists and freelancers. It tested the upcoming trainers’ manual for the eMedia Toolkit, due to be released online on 19 November.

The toolkit is an e-learning platform, made by journalists for journalists. It uses news dilemmas as case examples, challenging the user to consider different news angles and explains how to apply fundamental rights when covering migration news.

The toolkit draws on news from The Guardian, The Financial Times, BBC, Le Monde, Radio France International, France TV and Agence France Press when covering migration.
