Being Black in the EU, discrimination and the SDGs

On 17 January, the UN Development Programme held a virtual roundtable event on ‘Being Black in the EU and beyond. People of African Descent, discrimination and the SDGs’. The event was prompted by FRA’s recent publication ‘Being Black in the EU’.

The discussion aimed to learn more about the situation of people of African descent in the EU and beyond, and its implications in working towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

FRA presented its report findings. The European Commission Anti-Racism Coordinator and Chair of the UN Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent also spoke at the event.
