Conditions for success for national action plans against racism

On 28 May, FRA delivered a keynote speech at an international conference in Berlin on conditions for the success of national action plans against racism. The focus was on a human rights-based approach to data to effectively measure and combat racism.

The German Minister of State and Federal Government Commissioner for integration and anti-racism Reem Alabali-Radovan, organised the event in cooperation with the European Commission.

Around 120 participants attended the conference. These included representatives from the European Commission, the EU Subgroup on National Action Plans against Racism (NAPAR), the European Network of Equality Bodies (Equinet), the European Network against Racism, German ministries, local and regional authorities, the federal equality body (FADA), as well as representatives of the communities and civil society.
