The report will be published in the summer. It aims at providing guidance on strategic decisions to ensure that the EU remains socially and economically sustainable and develops a stronger global role in the coming decades.
It is the European Commission’s fourth such report. It informs the Commission’s work programmes and multi-annual programming exercises.
The Commission services lead the process, in consultation with Member States and the European Strategy and Policy Analysis System (ESPAS) and external stakeholders.
FRA will contribute its fundamental rights expertise and evidence to this Commission-led process to ensure that human rights issues are given more prominence and made more explicit in steering the (future) EU policy agenda.
