This report outlines trends and developments at national and EU level, focusing on access to and legal recognition of gender; non-discrimination in employment; freedom of expression and assembly; as well as freedom of movement, family reunification, and asylum, including international protection for LGBTI people and their family members. In addition, this report for the first time addresses in-depth the fundamental rights situation of intersex persons. By identifying areas of progress as well as set-backs and remaining challenges, it provides a thorough overview of the current status of LGBTI rights and serves as a valuable resource for actors at all levels working to eliminate discrimination against the LGBTI community.
