FRA presented its work on independent living at two events in Vienna that looked into possibilities of how to ensure that people with disabilities can equally participate in society.
FRA will provide training on how to protect and promote child rights in the work of the European Parliament to parliament staff on 5 June in Brussels.
On 1 December this year it will be 10 years that the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights entered into legal force. To mark a decade of human rights protection through a written bill of rights at EU level, FRA has put the anniversary branding on its website.

The summary of FRA’s report on civil society challenges across the EU outlines the main findings emerging from the research and what can be done to address them.
This 2018 edition of the handbook on European data protection law is now also available in German.
The summary outlining the main findings of FRA’s second survey on Jewish people’s experiences of hate crime, discrimination and antisemitism in the EU – the biggest survey of Jewish people ever conducted worldwide - are now available online in 12 languages: Croatian, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Romanian Spanish and Swedish.
FRA attended the Frontex Consultative Forum meeting on 17 May in Warsaw
On 22 May in Brussels, FRA presented its report From institutions to community living for persons with disabilities: perspectives from the ground during a seminar by the Belgian equal opportunities body, Unia.
The Eurostat working group on crime and criminal justice statistics met in Luxembourg from 27 to 28 May to discuss progress as well as the need to address emerging issues.
The agency took part in the meeting on 23 May in Brussels of the European Commission’s Inter-Service Group on the integration of non-EU nationals.
