Inclusiveness and human rights discussed with Polish cities

On 20 and 21 November in Poznan, FRA spoke at the Human Rights Cities Conference on cities inclusiveness. The event brought together more than 90 representatives of local authorities, civil society, academia, business, networks, international and European experts.

The event looked at the benefits and challenges of applying a rights-based approach locally.

FRA presented the Framework for Human Rights Cities and how it can support cities to enhance their human and fundamental rights work and help cities and other local governments assess their state of developments in fundamental rights.

The discussions highlighted the importance to build capacities of cities and foster practice exchange nationally and cross-nationally on rights-based solutions at the local level.

The City of Poznan and the Polish Human Rights Cities Institute organised the event.
