Key facts of the case: 

The applicant requested the annulment of joint ministerial decision Υ4α/οικ.80672/27.8.2013 (OG Β/2123/28.8.2013) of the Minister of Administrative Reform and e Governance and the Minister of Health and any other relevant adimistrative action or omission. The Ministerial Decision in question abolished 1.665 positions of nursing, administrative, technical and medical staff of units in three health regions of the country. The applicants claimed that the decision was issued without respect for due process provided for by the law which required the prior evaluation of structures and staffing plans. 

Outcome of the case: 

The Court rejected the application decidinf that the abolition of staff positions is not contrary to national and European law. The Courtdecided that in the redistribution of positions and staff otganisational and functional needs of the administrative units (health regions) were taken into account.
