FRA contributed to the launch event of a publication on civic space monitoring for an EU-funded civic space monitoring initiative called “PROSECO project (Empowering Ecosystems of Civil Society Organisations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia).
FRA in cooperation with national authorities and the national partner 'Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia', will hold a national event in Ljubljana, focusing on protection, prevention and response to violence against people with disabilities in institutions.
FRA will contribute to a webinar by the Open Government Partnership (OGP) on solutions to a decade of civic space backtracking. The panel discussion will provide an overview of the current state of civil society in Europe.

On 1 June, FRA will present the findings of its surveys - EU-MIDIS, LGBTIQ, Roma/Travellers survey, Antisemitism survey, EU gender-based violence survey, Violence and rights abuses against women from Ukraine - at a full-day event at the Science Po University in Paris.
FRA took part in a meeting of a Forum on Posting of Workers, organised by the European Labour Authority (ELA) in Bratislava. The meeting focused on the situation of non-EU nationals posted between Member States. 
Online fraud affects 1 in 4 Europeans, according to recent survey data from the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). Fake goods or services and impersonation scams are common. FRA’s findings aim to shape responses on how best to prevent online fraud and to support victims, in line with their fundamental rights.
The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) will move to its new climate-friendly headquarters on 1 June 2026. FRA's new premises are located at Rennweg 12 in Vienna, in a building shared with the European Patent Office (EPO).

From 21 to 23 April, FRA joined several events within the Roma Week in the European Parliament organised by the European umbrella Roma civil society organisation, the ERGO Network.
On 7 May, FRA introduced its research and preliminary findings on the implementation of the Law Enforcement Directive at the Spring Conference 2026. The Spring Conference gathers data protection supervisory and regulatory authorities from more than 60 European countries.
FRA contributed to the training for Schengen evaluators in the field of return and management of external borders. The event took place from 4 to 8 May in Thessaloniki.
FRA contributed to training organised by the European External Action Service (EEAS) on protecting human rights defenders by enabling them to seek safety in the EU.
On 11 and 12 May, FRA spoke at the meeting of Special Envoys and Coordinators on combating antisemitism (SECCA), and contributed to the meeting of the World Jewish Congress.

Human rights are universal and apply equally to all people everywhere. That is why today and every day we work to address the ongoing discrimination against LGBTI persons globally.
On 6 May, FRA gave a presentation on fundamental rights in return operations during a seminar organised by the Cypriot Commissioner for Administration. The seminar targeted the training of monitors and police escorts involved in forced return operations in Cyprus.
FRA took part in the latest meeting of the Schengen Borders Code Contact Committee that discussed the Screening Regulation as well as in a joint meeting of the Contact Committees for the Asylum Procedure Regulation and the Asylum and Migration Management Regulation.
Most people in the EU consider encryption important for protecting their private online communications, according to new survey findings from the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). Many people are also concerned – to varying degrees – that their private communications may be accessed without their knowledge or consent by various actors, including criminals, foreign governments, businesses or law enforcement.
