CEPOL webinar on returning unaccompanied children

FRA delivered online training on 30 March on the fundamental rights considerations of returning unaccompanied children. The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) organised the webinar.

The aim was to equip immigration services, border police and other return-enforcing authorities’ staff with the relevant knowledge from a fundamental rights perspective. This includes assessing the child’s best interests, options for durable solutions and child protection safeguards. It will help ensure that authorities concerned fully comply with fundamental rights. Almost 130 participants attended the webinar, from national and border police, as well as EU institutions and bodies.
