Technology and human rights the focus of FRA visit to Ireland

FRA’s Director was in Ireland from 26 to 27 September, where he gave a speech on protecting human rights in the digital age.

While in Dublin, the Director also met the Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Ireland’s AI Ambassador, the Data Protection Commissioner, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission and the Irish Council of Civil Liberties.

In all meetings, the Director outlined key areas of FRA’s work relating to AI and digitalisation. He also discussed the various challenges and opportunities experienced by the different stakeholders in this area.
