FRA will take part in the European IDAHOT+ Forum. The Forum’s theme will be advancing Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIGESC) Equality and Inclusion in a Transforming Europe.
The European Commission and the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU will host the second plenary of the High-Level Forum on the Future of EU Criminal Justice.
FRA will speak during a panel discussion on the Ombudsman as a bridge between states, institutions and people. The discussion forms part of a ceremonial meeting and follow-up conference marking 25 years since the establishment of the Czech Ombuds institution and the creation of Czech National Human Rights Institution and the Ombudsman for Children in Czechia this year.
On 30 April, FRA will contribute to a CEPOL webinar on fighting antisemitism online and offline. The webinar aims at improving law enforcement actions against violence and discrimination against Jews.
On 29 April, FRA will host a webinar for interested organisations within the Agency’s Fundamental Rights Platform. The webinar will explore the vital role civil society organisations play in driving more integrated child protection systems.
On 22 and 23 April, FRA Director Sirpa Rautio will speak at the high-level Conference on the role of civil society in the protection of the rule of law. The Director will contribute to a panel discussion on the principle of civil society as an EU value.
On 10 April, a delegation of four judges from the Constitutional Court of Ukraine will visit the Agency. The OSCE Support Programme to Ukraine organised the visit.
