FRA will present its work on 8 April on assessing fundamental rights risks of artificial intelligence at ERA’s 2025 Annual Conference on Artificial Intelligence Systems and Fundamental Rights.

FRA will host a foresight workshop that will bring together selected experts from EU institutions, Member States, academia and think tanks. It is part of a FRA project that aims to integrate a fundamental rights perspective into strategic policy foresight by the EU and its Member States.

FRA will contribute to the Luxembourg National Dialogue and consultation about the forthcoming action plan to promote LGBTIQ Equality.
FRA will join the regular meeting of the National Roma Contact Points. The European Commission-organised meeting takes place in Brussels on 20 March.
FRA took part in the second review of the EU’s implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CPRD) to which the EU is a Party. FRA participated as a member of the EU level monitoring framework and supported the CRPD Committee with data and research on people with disabilities.
FRA presented its ongoing project on remote biometric identification in law enforcement and the fundamental rights implications during an international conference on law enforcement technologies. The conference explored the regulatory framework of facial recognition technologies and the challenges posed by law enforcement authorities in deploying facial recognition.
FRA took part in a coordination meeting on combatting anti-Muslim hatred and racism, organised jointly by the European Commission and the Council of Europe. The event aimed at further facilitating dialogue among institutional stakeholders dedicated to combatting anti-Muslim hatred and racism.

FRA will join the annual meeting of the Infra4NextGen Consortium Meeting as member of its stakeholder board.
FRA’s Director will deliver a speech during the RIGHTS CITIES project train-the-trainer event and project meeting. The meeting takes place in Vienna on 17 March.
On 12 and 13 March, FRA hosted its regular meeting with its National Liaison Officers (NLOs). They are the main contact points for the Agency in Member States and in countries that participate as observers in the work of FRA.

FRA, together with the European Commission and ProtectDefenders.eu delivered online training for EU Delegations and consular staff in Member State embassies on the issue of visa for human rights defenders at risk.
On 11 and 12 March, FRA provided training on fundamental rights in connection with the use of biometrics. The training took place during an event organised by Frontex on vulnerabilities in automated border crossings at Milan airport.
FRA will speak on its work on EU funds and fundamental rights at a meeting of the ECHOFunds project. The meeting will cover how to implement the fundamental rights enabling condition on EU funds in Austria.
