The KAICIID Dialogue Centre, in cooperation with the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and the European Council of Religious Leaders/ Religions for Peace- Europe are organising the event.
FRA will take part in a European Economic Social Committee (EESC) hearing on 20 April.
FRA will present the results of its LGBTI II survey during an international webinar on LGBT+ hate crime. The focus will be on the prevalence of hate motivated harassment and violent attacks against LGBTI people.

FRA will participate in an event on the EU's new Disability Strategy organised by the Portuguese Presidency.
FRA Director Michael O'Flaherty visited the island of Samos, Greece, in April 2021 to get a sense of the reception facilities there. In this video, he acknowledges the efforts being made to improve facilities. He offers the Agency’s continued commitment to support these supports. As an example, he refers to FRA’s guidance on respecting fundamental rights at such facilities that could benefit both migrants and locals.
This week, Michael O’Flaherty, Director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), visited the reception facilities on the island of Samos in Greece.
On 16 April, FRA will present selected results from its Fundamental Rights Survey at an online Eurostat task force meeting. The task force is responsible for implementing the EU survey on gender-based violence against women and other forms of interpersonal violence.

FRA just published the Romanian version of its paper on unmasking bias motives in crimes: selected cases of the European Court of Human Rights.
The Fundamental Rights Report’s focus chapter on unlocking the EU’s Fundamental Rights Charter’s full potential is now also available online in Polish, Portuguese and Slovenian.
The summary of FRA’s report on Strong and effective national human rights institutions: challenges, promising practices and opportunities is now available online in all EU languages. It is also available in Macedonian and Serbian.
FRA will meet partners online from its FRANET research network to implement the second part of its project on procedural safeguards for children in criminal proceedings. The focus will be on interviewing children to capture their experiences and perspectives in criminal proceedings. FRANET partners from seven EU Member States – Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Poland and Portugal – will attend.
