Participants in this training programme are representatives from education authorities and Roma inclusion authorities in Czechia, Portugal, Slovakia and Romania. They will be joined by professionals from Albania, Bulgaria and Hungary.
This session will examine national practices in collecting data on Roma or equality. They will cover the guiding principles for collecting equality data on racial or ethnic origin developed by the European Commission for Member States.
Collecting such data in compliance with the guiding principles should be a starting point when Member States apply EU equality law in line with the EU’s Racial Equality Directive.
