The network supports a coordinated EU response to a migratory pressure by providing timely and up-to-date information to EU decision-makers on the unfolding operational situation.
The European Commission leads these regular meetings. It draws together EU Member States and Agencies, the UN Refugee Agency and International Organization for Migration.
FRA identified several persistent fundamental rights-related challenges that are likely to continue. These include the situation at the external borders, including alleged right violations, access to asylum in a fundamental rights-compliant manner, dignified reception conditions and capacity as well as challenges for migrant children.
FRA provides weekly contributions on the fundamental rights consequences of different migratory movements. These include movements from Ukraine, the Western Balkans, the Mediterranean or the EU’s border with Belarus.
