The meeting will provide NLOs with an opportunity to exchange views on the draft FRA work programme 2023, as well as update them on specific thematic work. This includes FRA’s work on antisemitism, equality data, tackling disinformation and hate crime.
This will be followed by an NLO Working Party meeting on business and human rights. The Working Party will bring together NLOs and other experts from Member State governments to discuss the links between human rights, consumer protection and the right to environmental protection.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the UN Human Rights Office. It will feed the Human Rights Office’s EU regional consultation on business and human rights. This forms part of its global workshop on business and human Rights in autumn 2022. It is the first such regional consultation.
