This survey aims to gain statistically sound, nationally representative and internationally comparable statistics on the frequency of gender-based violence. In particular, it will cover the gender dimension of significant types of crime, interpersonal conditions that might influence crime patterns, personal consequences of crime, reporting practices, attitudes towards police, readiness of the legal and health system to tackle the issues covered by the survey, intensity of certain types of crime, and a general but statistically sound socio-demographic picture of both perpetrators and victims.
The study’s main goal is to gain insight into how potential victims perceive racial or ethnic discrimination and how this has evolved over time in terms of extent and intensity, and to identify the areas, circumstances and specific manifestations of discrimination, with a special focus on the field of employment and training for employment. Employment and training are of particular interest, as this is one of the areas where higher levels of discrimination were detected in the latest editions of this report.
This study offers a first examination of the black, African and Afro-descendant population living in Spain: its sociodemographic profiles, identities, needs and experiences of discrimination, together with the demand for anti-discrimination rights and policies.
The practice consisted of a debate on the possibility of collecting data on ethnic origin in order to accurately diagnose and better understand, monitor and act against racial or ethnic discrimination suffered by Africans, Afro-descendants, Asians, Roma and other groups who have not undergone any migratory process and/or are Spanish.
#Afrozensus is the first comprehensive study addressing the everyday life perspectives and discrimination experiences of Black, African and Afrodiasporic people in Germany. The study was conducted by the German education and empowerment project Each One Teach One (EOTO) in cooperation with Citizens for Europe (CFE).
The National Discrimination & Racism Monitor aims to examine the causes, extent and consequences of racism in Germany. The project intends to provide an effective tool for monitoring racism by combining quantitative, qualitative and experimental methods.
