Report / Paper / Summary
Roma
Gelijkheid, non-discriminatie en racisme
29
November
2016

Drugie Badanie Unii Europejskiej na temat mniejszości i dyskryminacji: Romowie – wybrane wyniki
Około 80 % ankietowanych Romów żyje poniżej progu zagrożenia ubóstwem w swoim kraju; co trzeci Rom mieszka w budynku
bez wody wodociągowej; co trzecie dziecko romskie żyje w gospodarstwie domowym, w którym ktoś poszedł spać głodny
przynajmniej raz w poprzednim miesiącu, a dzieci romskie pozostają w tyle za rówieśnikami niebędącymi Romami pod względem edukacji – niniejsze sprawozdanie podkreśla niepokojącą, lecz nieuniknioną rzeczywistość: największa mniejszość etniczna
w Unii Europejskiej nadal boryka się z dyskryminacją i nierównym dostępem do różnych podstawowych usług.

Druhý prieskum Európskej únie týkajúci sa menšín a diskriminácie: Rómovia – vybrané výsledky
stále čelí diskriminácii a nerovnakému prístupu k rôznym životne dôležitým službám.

Druga raziskava o manjšinah in diskriminaciji v Evropski uniji: Romi – izbrani rezultati
neenakopravnim dostopom do raznih osnovnih storitev.

Romer – resultat i urval

FRA Opinion on fundamental rights in the 'hotspots' set up in Greece and Italy
Without being exhaustive, this opinion discusses selected topics which touch certain Charter rights, identifying the challenges and describing measures that could be taken to mitigate the risk of actions, which are not compliant with the Charter. It does not focus exclusively on risks arising in direct relation to the involvement of EU actors on the ground, but also takes into account that the hotspot approach entails a certain share of responsibility of the EU for the situation in the hotspots overall.

Current migration situation in the EU: hate crime
Asylum seekers and migrants face various forms of violence and harassment across the European Union (EU). As this month’s report on the migration situation underscores, such acts are both perpetrated and condoned by state authorities, private individuals, as well as vigilante groups. They increasingly also target activists and politicians perceived as ‘pro-refugee’.

Incitement in media content and political discourse in Member States of the European Union
Media content and political discourse in EU Member States, whether online or
offline, show incitement to discrimination, hatred or violence on different
grounds, as evidence collected by FRA reveals. The growing reliance on the internet as the main source of
information for many enables the fast spread of often unverified statements
that could also incite to hatred.

Rights of suspected and accused persons across the EU: translation, interpretation and information
Protecting the human rights of individuals subject to criminal proceedings is an essential element of the rule of law. Persons who are suspected or accused of crimes in countries other than their own are particularly vulnerable, making appropriate procedural safeguards especially crucial. This report reviews Member States’ legal frameworks, policies and practices regarding the important rights provided in these directives, including with respect to individuals whose needs may require additional attention, such as persons with disabilities and children.
