Roma
Gleichheit, Nichtdiskriminierung und Rassismus
29
November
2016

Second European Union Minorities and Discrimination Survey Roma – Selected findings
Some 80% of Roma surveyed live below their country’s at-risk-of-poverty threshold; every third Roma lives in housing without tap water; every third Roma child lives in a household where someone went to bed hungry at least once in the previous month; and 50% of Roma between the ages of six and 24 do not attend school. This EU-MIDIS II report underscores an unsettling but unavoidable reality: the European Union’s largest ethnic minority continues to face intolerable discrimination and unequal access to vital services.

Drugo istraživanje Europske unije o manjinama i diskriminaciji: Romi – odabrani rezultati

Azzal, hogy a felmérésben vizsgált romák 80%-a az országuk szegénységi küszöbe alatt él, a romák egyharmadának háztartásában nincs vezetékes víz, a roma gyerekek harmada olyan háztartásban lakik, ahol az előző hónapban valaki legalább egyszer éhesen ment aludni, és a roma gyerekek a nem roma társaik mögött kullognak a tanulás területén, a jelentés nyugtalanító, de megkerülhetetlen tényállásra hívja fel a figyelmet: az Európai Unió legnagyobb etnikai kisebbsége továbbra is megkülönböztetéssel néz szembe, és egyenlőtlen mértékben fér hozzá a különféle létfontosságú szolgáltatásokhoz

Druhý prieskum Európskej únie týkajúci sa menšín a diskriminácie: Rómovia – vybrané výsledky
stále čelí diskriminácii a nerovnakému prístupu k rôznym životne dôležitým službám.

FRA Opinion on fundamental rights in the 'hotspots' set up in Greece and Italy
Without being exhaustive, this opinion discusses selected topics which touch certain Charter rights, identifying the challenges and describing measures that could be taken to mitigate the risk of actions, which are not compliant with the Charter. It does not focus exclusively on risks arising in direct relation to the involvement of EU actors on the ground, but also takes into account that the hotspot approach entails a certain share of responsibility of the EU for the situation in the hotspots overall.
