FRA presents findings to the EU Working Party on e-Justice

FRA presented findings from its report on ‘Digitalising Justice: A fundamental rights-based approach’ and upcoming report on Assessing high-risk AI to the Council of the EU’s Working Party on e-Justice on 24 November in Brussels.

The presentations highlighted the opportunities that digitalisation can bring for justice systems, provided risks are anticipated and human rights protection is integrated from the start. They more broadly highlighted some key issues in connection to high-risk AI systems, including the need for facilitating fundamental rights impact assessments in practice.

FRA also presented the findings from the two reports to staff from the Council’s General Secretariat.

The Danish Presidency of the Council invited FRA to speak.
