FRA’s guidance on Applying the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union in law and policymaking at national level is now also in Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Slovakian, Slovenian and Spanish.

These monthly meetings aim to update contact points as well as the European Commission and its Joint Research Centre, the European Asylum Support Office, the European Parliament and FRA about each other’s activities.

FRA’s Director visited Croatia from 16 to 18 November to get a better understanding about the allegations of fundamental rights violations of migrants and refugees at the external border.
Trop de femmes et de filles ne sont toujours pas protégées. L’augmentation de la violence domestique pendant la pandémie de COVID-19 l’a clairement démontré et a révélé à quel point cette violation des droits de l’homme est encore courante. La Journée internationale pour l’élimination de la violence à l’égard des femmes, célébrée le 25 novembre, est l’occasion de relancer les efforts visant à protéger efficacement les droits des femmes et à mettre fin à la violence qui leur est faite.
FRA’s Director Michael O’Flaherty joins a high-level panel on 24 November on the impact of the pandemic on children’s education. FRA will also speak on an expert panel on children’s increased risk of exposure to violence and the difficulty in accessing protection and support services.
