Listina základních práv EU v České republice
Listina základních práv Evropské unie je zákonem o lidských právech v EU. Obsahuje 50 článků, které popisují základní práva a zásady, po nichž následují 4 články s obecnými ustanoveními. Členské státy mají povinnost respektovat práva a dodržovat zásady Listiny vždy, když jednají v rámci závazného práva EU. Tam, kde jsou ustanovení Listiny dostatečně přesná a bezpodmínečná, mohou mít přímý účinek na vnitrostátní úrovni – například ve vnitrostátních soudních síních. Ustanovení Listiny, která jsou „zásadami“, se lze dovolávat pouze u soudu, pokud jsou prováděna legislativními nebo výkonnými akty.
