FRA will host the workshop of the Justice and Home Affairs Agencies Network and selected other agencies to discuss the collection and use of data on gender-based violence.
FRA’s Director launched the report ‘Rights of Roma and Travellers in 13 European Countries – Perspectives from the Roma Survey 2024’ on 2 October in Brussels. During the opening political panel of the European Platform for Roma Inclusion, she presented key survey findings.

On 7 October, FRA contributed to a panel discussion on instrumentalisation of migrants along the EU’s Eastern border. It was organised as part of the Senior Officials’ Meeting of the Prague Process.
FRA contributed to two sessions at the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit 2025, held in Spain from 7 to 9 October 2025. At a high-level panel on participation and inclusion, FRA discussed how meaningful participation enhances government effectiveness by leading to better-quality outcomes, increased legitimacy and trust, and greater empowerment.
The FRA Director spoke at the launch of ‘The Unheard 12 millions’. The book presents stories of individuals that the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights met during his visits to selected European countries.
FRA took part in the EU RIGHTS CITIES project partner workshop organised in Zagreb from 28 September to 1 October. The meeting focused on civic engagement and participation in human rights cities.
On 3 October, the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, together with the Danish Institute for Human Rights, held a seminar on safeguarding human rights in migration management in EU policy.

FRA took part in a meeting of the ETIAS Fundamental Rights Guidance Board. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is the new travel authorisation for visa-exempt travellers to enter 30 European countries.
FRA will speak in the plenary session of the 30th Anniversary Conference of the Office of the Ombudsman in Malta. The event looks at the role of the Ombudsman in upholding human rights and protecting the vulnerable.
L’Agence des droits fondamentaux de l’Union européenne (FRA) et l’Autorité européenne du travail (AET) ont lancé conjointement un nouveau guide pratique pour aider les inspecteurs du travail à identifier et à lutter contre l’exploitation au travail. Ce guide est également destiné aux travailleurs pour les aider à faire valoir leurs droits dans l’ensemble de l’Union européenne.
Afin de promouvoir une utilisation légale et efficace du nouveau système d’entrée/de sortie (EES) de l’UE pour l’enregistrement des ressortissants de pays tiers aux frontières extérieures, les autorités nationales doivent mettre en œuvre des mesures efficaces de protection des données, fournir des informations précises et accessibles aux ressortissants de pays tiers et les traiter avec dignité et respect. Les derniers guides publiés par l’Agence des droits fondamentaux de l’Union européenne (FRA) aideront les autorités à mettre en œuvre l’EES dans le plein respect des droits fondamentaux.

L’Agence des droits fondamentaux de l’Union européenne (FRA) est préoccupée par la récente modification de la Constitution de la République slovaque. Cette modification introduit des dispositions susceptibles d’entrer en conflit avec les valeurs communes et les obligations juridiques qui sous-tendent l’Union européenne. Ces changements constitutionnels risquent de porter atteinte aux principes d’égalité, de dignité humaine et de respect des droits fondamentaux consacrés par la charte des droits fondamentaux de l’Union européenne, ainsi qu’aux engagements pris par les États membres en vertu du traité sur l’Union européenne.

FRA attended a meeting organised by the European Commission with EU Member States and relevant EU agencies to discuss the European Annual Asylum and Migration Report. This report is an important element of the European annual asylum and migration cycle, as established under the EU Pact for Migration and Asylum. 
FRA contributed to a meeting on mobility and protection for human rights defenders (HRDs) in the EU, organised by the UN’s Human Rights Office and ProtectDefenders.eu. The meeting took place in Brussels on 29 September and 1 October.
FRA took part in a workshop of the EU Innovation Hub for Internal Security’s AI Cluster. It took place from 25-26 September in Tallinn.
The Center for Democracy and Technology held a roundtable discussion on 22 September in Brussels on ensuring the effective implementation of the AI Act.
On 24 September, FRA attended a European Parliament Shadow meeting on the proposed Return Regulation.
